Hi Mlattanzi,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

It really depends on the individual user. While Webroot is designed to operate with other AV software, Webroot is more than capable of protecting you on it's own. You will not be any less safe by uninstalling Avast. Webroot works differently than other AV's, consumes very little resources, and is always up to date. Personally, I would uninstall Avast just to free up resources on your computer, which will help it to operate more efficiently.

Hope this info helps, :)

Hello Mlattanzi,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

? sorry..you got here first but I'll leave my reply as a reference.;)

Webroot is built to run with most Anti Virus programs. I would uninstall Avast because you do not need added rersources or drag to your system. Webroot is all you need IMO.

Please look here on hoiw to remove Avast.
Avast  Download and Instructions

  • Short and sweet, but read directions carefully.
