Fight Back against Cybercrime

WhatWebroot is proud to be a participant in National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Every October, the Department of Homeland Security leads an annual campaign to raise awareness about cybersecurity.
WhyWe live in a connected world. The Internet has become a part of every American's life, so it is more important than ever to ensure you are protected from cybercriminals who can steal your money or, more importantly, your most valuable data. Webroot and the DHS hope to educate and to raise awareness about cybersecurity, providing everyone with tools and resources needed to stay safe online.

I did the Cyber security Quiz and scored low. This is because the designer did not think of uers with just a PC, which is wire connected. I don't have or use WiFi, nor do I have a laptop,I-phone, tablet etc etc. My PC is password protected and the lengthy password is change regularly. All  trading sites which I visit are also password protected, all of which are obscure combinations. Passwords are not repeated. As for Malware well Webroot protects me, and I use Malwarebytes (Free Version) for random self initiated scans, plus Spybot, similarly, albeit Spybot is of dubious value these days. I never visit any site warned by Webrot with a yellow, otrange or Red rating. I have had Webroot warnings flash up a coiple of times even when visiting a Green ticked site. I always hover over suspicious e-mails, and report 'phishing' emails before blocking them. As for 'phone calls, I filter all and ignore the obvious malevalent callers, before blocking their numbers. By the way I am a retired Fraud Investigator- so I automatically think 'Fraud'. My maxim is 'Trust no-on my friend'.

It's just a Quiz. Most users have Laptops and other Mobile devices so I guess that's the reason why.

It's not a big deal as it's National Cybersecurity Month and Webroot is making users aware of it.
