I was not going to post this as it I thought it was just another one of the many articles I see every day but the dangers of this app are so blatantly apparent that it should never have reached the drawing board. It is sadly another bit if software which was launched, seemingly without much thought to security.

India’s Paytm has withdrawn its POS app a day after it was released amid security concerns.
Paytm released a new point-of-sale app dubbed Paytm POS to much fanfare on Wednesday, addressing the inadequate availability of POS machines in India. Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma was expecting over 10 million downloads of Paytm POS app by the weekend.

Agreed, JAsper...it almost goes without saying that alot of the software launched in this area is parlously tested and therefore vulnerable...one would have thought that given the track record in the sector the software authors would take heed and look to do better...but money talks. :@
