Avast survey finds many apps ask for unnecessary premissions

Flashlight apps could be putting your Android phone at risk of coming under cyberattack, new research has claimed.

A report from Avast found that Android flashlight apps request an average of 25 permissions, such as audio recording and contact information, to apparently function properly.

Thank you for the warning Jeff,

I immediately checked my apps and the Flashlight isn't mentioned. So it looks like my Flashlight is by Samsung's built in apps. You can use it in Emergency situations. So I don't think it's a Google Play Store app. Which is good to know but it may have ALOT of permissions attached to it to where I cannot change..
