Third Party Reseller or Scammer

I was sold a lifetime subscription for 899.99 USD.  for 50 devices.  Which I don’t have.  They had me list all my devices

ipads, iPhones, Alexa, printer, laptop

Next day I got thinking about this and questioning my sanity.

I called them, they insisted they were not a scam.

still not comfortable, I opened the Webroot and registered, there were 8 devices only 1 being mine

Today I opened and there were 34 to 43 devices, only 1 being mine

This all started with me thinking I was talking to HP support, they said my problem was corrupted driver and I needed this firewall

I did talk to the real HP support today and they have no record of me getting support.  I was even given a support case Id which was not HP.

I also have received an invoice for the same amount due May 26, 2020

Believe I have been scammed

The name of the company is Prime Geeks Repair phone number 1-855-905-0301 on invoice

Other number I have are 1-580-547-4163, 1-855-905-0301 and 1-855-905-0302

technician Michael Sinclair

Any information would be appreciated

Yeah, sounds like you fell prey to a fake tech-support scam here. How did you land on their contact info/page? Was it a google search > clicking on an ad?

In the future, make sure you direct all of your Webroot inquiries directly through the official Webroot website: http://webroot.com/
