Apple or Python Script to Update SecureAnywhere

I have 36 macOS machines that have not updated to the latest version of SecureAnywhere and I’m not able to remote into each machine and manually update. I’m looking for a way to update the clients automatically via an Apple or Python Scripting similar to this command which works with Windows: start-process "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -argumentlist poll Does anyone know of a way to do this?

How to get a response from Webroot?

I cannot reach a human being from Webroot. Multiple support tickets over weeks have gone unanswered and phone calls are never picked up. Email addresses for sales have also not been replied to. Have they shut down all service? Does anyone have a direct contact number or email where you can reach a person? My application stopped working on my Mac Powerbook (up to date Catalina) and I cannot get the client to launch. Multiple uninstall, reinstalls later, it just fails to launch. I’m beyond frustrated as I can’t even reach a person in to refund me my recent renewal! Are there no humans at webroot anymore?

I couldn't run mongo service in Mac OS

After upgrading the python version 2 to 3.8.5. A mongo service is not working. threats detected

I’ve been running webfoot on my mac for 6 weeks & a to date total of 2020 new detected threats. Whereto has scanned 134,537,591 files & still running. When I started Webfoot I selected the TimeMachine external storage device to be scanned. Should I have selected the hard drive instead? What do I do with the new threats? MacOs Catalina 10.15.6 Webroot Install cant complete

Webroot stopped working with my upgrade to Catalina. I have since removed Webroot and downloaded the latest version. When I try to install ti starts Webroot, I choose open. The only thing that happens is a Webroot Icon appears in the applications line at the bottom of the screen. It stops right there and no other screens are available. what do I need to do to get Webroot installed again?

Can't reinstall webroot onto Mac

So I purchased webroot 6 months ago at Best Buy and I recently uninstalled it as it was making my laptop very loud, hot and drained the battery. I tried to reinstall it (on mac) but I could only get to step two of these instructions offered https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=12&vw=1&solutionid=1220 . The only thing that pops up when I click the dmg file is a pop up of the webroot icon and when I click on it I, I briefly see something pop up on the dock but it quickly dissapears. I can’t do anything else from here.

Why won't webroot open on my mac?

I started having issues with my Webroot service when it suddenly opened one day with a blue screen and an exclamation point, but it did not give me a reason as to why it was doing that, it also wouldn’t scan anything. I went online and everything pointed to reinstallation, so I did that and now it won’t open at all, even to put in the keycode or really install it. Can anyone help me? I tried to contact webroot directly but they haven’t gotten back to me! I am running Catalina 10.5.5

Uninstall Secure Anywhere on Macbook Air with Catalina 10.15.5

Secure Anywhere stopped working on my MacBook after Catalina was updated to 10.15.5. Not the first time this has happened after Catalina updates. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. My pleas through support tickets were met with crickets. I finally said goodby to Secure Anywhere or so I thought. I bought a Norton product but when I tried to install it, it says that Webroot needs to be uninstalled. I have tried everything that I can think of including using the uninstall button on the app or by moving files to trash. Secure Anywhere is like Herpes simplex - it won’t go away! Please help.

Uninstalling Webroot

When I try to drag or Send to Trash the Webroot SecureAnywhere from my Application Folder in Finder on my MacBook Pro Catalina Version 1015.5 it requires my Apple login password then I get the following message: “The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.”So your solution at Step 4 does not work for me. What should I do?

Just installed today's update - SecureAnywhere 9.1.3.103

Hi everyone.I noticed today (Aug. 4) there was an update for WebRoot SecureAnywhere for Mac. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any product announcement on the community forum to get more information about the update.With this update the version will change to 9.1.3.103.I went ahead and installed the update anyway on my Mac with Catalina 10.15.5. So my experience was basically the same as last month’s update. I just want to share my experience...To download and install the update, I clicked the “Update Now” button (see screenshot below). The console will appear yellow. Be patient... It will take a couple minutes for the product to update. At first you won’t see anything happen after clicking the button and you might wonder if the update is working. Don’t panic. Don’t press the update button more than once. After a minute or two you may see two Webroot icons running in the Dock. Let the update proceed. Both icons will eventually disappear from the Dock, and then one Webroot icon will re-app

Scan appears to stop

I have many MB on data on my Mac but the scan states that it runs to completion in about 2 minutes. This defies logic. Any ideas how to follow up?

Toontown Rewritten

Hi I recently had a virus on my computer so when I got it fixed, they installed Webroot automatically. I have played toon town rewritten for a while (stupid I know) and when I went to play again it keeps crashing. when I looked it up it said that it may be something with the antivirus and I agree. I know there is nothing wrong with the site and I believe it to be a false positive. I tried submitting it to Webroot as a false positive but the file was too long as it was the launcher. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!

Mac Voice Control Issue

HI,Webroot (latest version) is not compatible with Voice Control on the Mac OS. Webroot disallows the ability to perform dictation when running on the Mac. When I quit Webroot, dictation with Mac’s Voice Control works fine.Any chance that this issue can be corrected in a timely software update?Thank you.

Come clean with ALL Mac User’s about the problems – that includes proactively notifying ALL Mac users. Why? unless you look under the hood or worse like me get infected with Malware – your website shows all is good and I’m protected – when I’m not Treat Best Buy customers as REAL customers – many of us buy lots of computers with your software. Best Buy customers are NOT lessor includeds Do Not treat us as Beta Testers. Before you propose a fix on your Tech Support Community – make sure it works Waiting an hour to talk with Tech Support is wrong. I know demand for tech support is surging, but if you can’t find and train more Technicians fire your VP of HR. Then call a professional in virtual hiring and training – you could have people showing up in days and trained in a week. Why is this important? Many of us provide critical support to the Nation (yes even on a Mac) and getting infected with Malware (when we thought we were protected) means a mission failure for the customer. Yo

[Mac] Can't clear threat alert

System info: MBP 2012 SSD: Mojave/Catalina/Win10 HDD: TimeMachineM/TimeMachineC/SharedData (NTFS) Webroot installed on all OS’ (Is necessary?) Configured WR to ignore a known clean game folder (I believe) Issue: Ever since building this device configuration, the Catalina instance of WR has been reporting infection and continuously scanning, but never clears the infection status. I believe I managed to wait long enough once, but even after having it ignore the files it was reporting, it wouldn’t let go of the behavior. I “believe” I’ve already tried reinstalling WR, but no change in behavior on this install. I think there’s a settings file somewhere that is keeping the threat list active and needs purging. Hopefully that was clear enough as none of the other OS’ have an issue.

Mac Catalina "Failed to get latest version"

I tried all the links and re-downloaded the install .DMG several times and still not working on a Macbook Pro fresh install. This was the first app I placed on this new Mac and still it says "Failed to get latest version". I am connected to the internet. Here are the specs: MacOS 10.15.6 MBP 15 - 2018

Strange alert... Google software is ransomware?

WebRoot on my Mac just popped up that a file “/Library/Google/…./GoogleSoftwareUpdateAgent” has the threat “MacOS.MacRansomEvilQuest.1.r” It quarantined correctly, but…. what’s going on… is this a bad file, or does WebRoot have a mistake, or is Google pushing ransomware?

Webroot problems since updating to Catalina 10.15.5

Webroot is misbehaving since upgrading to Catalina 10.15.5. I can see others have this concern and I could scroll and scroll through the answers, but I’m hoping for a quick reply. Is this situation hopeless? I keep getting the red or yellow exclamation point, I get screens popping up in the middle of Zoom sessions telling me to add Webroot to my Full Disk Access, and I have already done it. The box pops up over and over and is not responsive to anything I do, no matter how often I follow the same steps. Very frustrating.

Full Disk Access Problem

Webroot Secure AnyWhere ver. 9.1.2.69:1391 installed Web Filtering Package ver. 1.3.0.2 keeps cancelling my scans after I recently updated the program. I followed all the instructions when a window popped up saying to open system preferences, click full disk access in privacy tab an open up the application folder. I did all of the above multiple times to no avail. Anyone know how to fix this? I would be very grateful. Tried contacting webroot support several times but got no answer.
