I searched and found several similar issues from two years ago, but I’m having this problem now. I am on the latest update for my Android Samsung Galaxy S9+ and I’m on SecureAnywhere 5.5.6.46428. Every week or so, my phone suddenly starts heating up and the battery runs down very quickly. Eventually, I get a pop-up saying:
Device Care
Some apps or processes are overloading the system (CPU) and need to be closed.
SecureAnywhere
CPU: 50.44%
At this point, my battery drained quickly from 60% down to 28%.
Seems like if you have to shut down SecureAnywhere, you are defeating the purpose of protecting your phone. Is Webroot doing anything about this? I’m sure people will give me lots of “how to” information for conserving battery, etc., but really, isn’t this a Webroot issue, rather than an Android issue?
Thanks,
