@Ssherjj looks like they removed it starting with v5.5.3 see here: https://community.webroot.com/home-product-releases-27/product-update-android-version-5-5-3-337966

Removed
  • Shield menu is no longer needed (analysis has been automated for all users).
  • SMS Blocker functionality.
  • Call Blocker functionality.
  • Dialer Shield blocker functionality.
  • Schedule functionality (scans have been automated).

it looks like an Android / Google Play store thing limiting security apps use of call logs and SMS permissions.
I noticed this when Malwarebytes Android took out call protection and SMS link scanning from their app a few months ago.

Once again, after months of the password manager saga, Webroot makes another stupid move. First, they send no notice that they were discontinuing call blocking and sms blocking in their Android app, then they just remove it.

I had so many numbers stored in there from spam sources that were blocked. Poof, blocking gone, let the harassment begin.

This is now strike two for Webroot. Bad move. Very bad.

@kevco, I can certainly relate to you on this and I was upset to hear Webroot dropped the "Call Blocking and SMS" as well. I too had numerous numbers blocked from Spammers and now I can only block so many on my phone with Verizon. I'm very surprised we were not told/ warned ahead of time. 😳 Sad..

It would be helpful if someone were able to create a system where you could type in "secureweb apk 5.1" or something and it would help you find an APK that worked. 😉
