what will webroot secure anywhere do for me? Is a replacement for the McAfee that came pre installed with my hp latop? if so I want to uninstall the McAfee im thinking? Am I doing the right thing or do I need to purchase another subscription to McAfee

Welcome to the Community Forums.
WSA will provide you with better protection than McAfee...period. Now, whilst you can run both together there is no point given what I have recommended in terms of which offers better protection.
But you can turn one off then the other and see which one you feel most at home with...I suspect that you will eventually plumb for WSA...most people do when they carry out the comparison...in the main because above and beyond the excellent (and better) protection that WSA offers it is also lighter on system resource so much so than on most system one hardly knows that it is installed and protecting.
Anyway, the choice is yours...but I would certainly not shell out for another license of anything until you have tested out all the options.
