I have 4 active threats on my HP laptop. I have no idea how to view remove them. Can someone please help me?
Without scan logs its hard to say whats being detected. Can you run a deep scan in Safe Mode the instructons on how to do so are shown below.

1. Start your computer in Safe Mode with Networking. For instructions on starting in Safe Mode with Networking

http://www5.nohold.net/Webroot/Loginr.aspx?pid=12&login=1&app=vw&solutionid=68

2. Open Webroot SecureAnywhere from the tray, start menu or desktop icon.

3. Click on the cog icon next to 'PC Security'.

4. Open the 'Scan & Shields' tab.

5. Click the 'Custom Scan' button.

6. The default scan option is 'Deep'. Click Scan.

This will start a Deep Scan of your system. Please allow this scan to complete and remove any threats found. Once the scan is complete, you may restart your system normally.
An implied question is:

If WSE knows I have Active Threats, why:

  • hasn't it dealt with them?
  • doesn't it - let me / make it clear how to - delete them?
("Active Threats" sure sounds like they should be gotten rid of ASAP!)
Hi PHM

Welcome to the Community Forums.

This is the way that WSA works...when you get that warning all you need to do is clcik on the 'Scan my Computer' button. WSA will initiate a 'Deep' scan and double check the findings. In some cases the Deep scan comes up clear but in some cases it confirms the initial findings and will then (usually) Quarantine the offending items for you to then decide how you one to progress.

It is just the WSA way...and it works very well, rather than just stripping stuff out of your system.
