I just paid for renewal and it still says expired

May I ask if you when you renewed did you get a new keycode? Or did you renew your old keycode?
If your purchased, and renewal is from Best Buy/The Geek Squad then it can take 24 hours or so for the transfer of information to pass from them to Webroot's back office. If the purchase was other than Best Buy/The Geek Squad and so you are renewing via Webroot themselves it can take a couple of hours or so may be a little bit more for the process to complete.
Sometimes running a manual scan of your system, because it access the Webroot Cloud, can give the process a 'nudge' so if you just click on the Scan my Computer in the main app panel and see if that helps.
