Recently, I have been getting a lot of disconnects from games, because of that I created a ticket for Riot.  They said that I should try to remove Webroot Secure Anyware to see if that resolves the problem.

Could Webroot actually be the one causing the constant disconnections from these game's servers?  The laptop I've got webroot installed on was recently bought about 2 months ago and came with webroot, which I installed immediately, and had no issues with League of Legends and other games untill just recently.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Can you please Submit a Support Ticket as it could be a simple thing as getting some files Whitelisted in the Cloud database! And Webroot is heavily into Gamers http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/gamer-av and on Twitter https://twitter.com/WebrootGaming and many other places.

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
In addition to what Daniel said, that advice is really not surprising.  A lot of people who have not tried Webroot recently just have no idea how light it really is.  For the most part, turning an AV off is a MUST for gamers or the lag monster is going to get you.

Do follow up with Webroot Support, and please let us know how things go.  While it would be very unusual for WSA to be causing the problem, it IS possible.  If the game platforms have updated recently, the new versions of the executables might not be known or whitelisted by Webroot yet.  That would indeed be able to cause the problems you are having.
Thanks guys, I just sent a ticket. Hopefully, I'll get a reply soon.
I have replied to your ticket asking for more logs, I didnt see any mention of the game in the logs. I dont play that myself but I do play a number of other MMO's without any issues.
It may also be worth taking a look to see if your Network Interface Card drivers are up to date.I had an issue with disconnects after upgrading to windows 8.1,only to discover windows loaded the wrong driver for my NIC.It's something worth considering if you can't pin down a cause. My wife used to play LOL and never had an issue with WSA.I play several MMO's such as Guild Wars 2,Aion,Tera,Final Fantasy 14,ESO.,and have never had an issue that i can remember.Aion used to be horrible with disconnects, but that had nothing to do with WSA.
We sponsor a number of gaming events, and we put Webroot on all the machines that are playing League of Legends.  So it is definitely white-listed in our system and not blocking anything.
