I have a windows 10 PC, that I use to develop some own applications in Delphi 12.
Since about a month ago, Webroot started causing problems with the EXEs that I build using Delphi 12.
When linker tries to create an EXE, Webroot blocks access to this file, if it existed before. Thie means that everytime I want to create a new build of an existing application, I first need to either delete the old EXE, or to shut down Webroot to be able to create a new version of this EXE.
Old versions of Webroot had the ability to exclude directories. That was useful in my case.
Also, Webroot started to interfere about a month ago, I never had this trouble before, and I am using Webroot since 2015.
I am seriously considering swotching to another antivirus software, if this problem can’t be resolved.
Also, I tried to open a support ticket, but whenever I input my email address and click “Continue”, it just takes me to my Webroot console.
I could say, that I am slowly getting really pi**ed off.
Can somebody please help?
Thank You very much!
Hello
The best way is to contact Webroot Support via the Ticket system and say the exact same in the ticket and they will help you.
Webroot Support:
Submit a ticket 24/7/365
Call 1-866-612-4227 Mon - Fri 7 AM to 5:30 PM (MDT)
Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue.
Also phone numbers from around the world: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/about/contact-us
Thanks,
“Also, I tried to open a support ticket, but whenever I input my email address and click “Continue”, it just takes me to my Webroot console.” ←
So, not an option, since it doesn’t work, or at least doesn’t work for me.
Whenever I try to submit a ticket, it just opens my Webroot console. I searched for possible solutions to this problem.
https://detail.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp ← here I input my eMail address and click “Continue”, and then it simply opens the myWebroot dashboard.
I cleared my browser cache, disabled stored passwords etc, but to no avail.
That’s the story. Any idea, how to submit the ticket?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi and many thanks for this direct link! It worked after I removed the dot between my name and surname in gmail address … if I entered my address, it always took me to the WR Management console … :)
Meh.
Glad it's working now so did Webroot support help you?
Thanks,
