Why do scans only take about 30 seconds....doesn't Webroot do deep scans.. I ask cause my computer gets high jacks by "Big Daddy" ads offering webs sites . I scan several times, but come back "No Problem Found"...  ( I've got 99% of the box's check to be scan, and set up as tight as Webroot seams to let you set it up.... "No Intruders"
Hello slider2540, Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum. :D

These scans are normal for WSA. Please see This Post.

As for the "Big Daddy Ads"

Just add a good free Ad Blocker like the ones below! Also you may have PUA's so look here as well: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie-KB/How-to-Remove-Potentially-Unwanted-Applications/ta-p/4074...

For Internet Explorer Ad Block Plus: https://adblockplus.org/

For Firefox uBlock Origin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/?src=ss or Privacy Badger: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/privacy-badger-firefox/

Google Chrome uBlock Origin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm?hl=en or Privacy Badger: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/privacy-badger/pkehgijcmpdhfbdbbnkijodmdjhbjlgp

If you need any help with this Please submit a Support Ticket or Contact Webroot Support to sort this problem.

Hope that helps,

Dave.;)
Hi Slider2540,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

If I may just add to what Dave has posted.

The default setting for Webroot is the "Deep" scan, as described in the link Dave provided. You are able to do a full scan by doing the following:

Open Webroot interface and click on the gear next to PC Security.

?

Then click the Custom scan button near the left of the window and choose the "Full" scan option and clcik Start scan.

?

?

These scans take considerably longer but will scan all files on your drive.

Hope this info helps,

BD

Or just right click on a drive and select Scan with Webroot from the Context Menu!

Daniel ;)

So the right-click scan option is a Full scan? I did not know this. Thanks Daniel. I just learned something new about Webroot! :D

Just on the Drive you pick to Scan. A full system scan is the way you posted and selecting all drives.

But it's not needed as Kit said here a few times: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Scanning-PC-suspiciously-fast/m-p/6636#M215

Thanks ?
