Hi,

I have a Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete license for multiple PC's. I use the Webroot Anywhere feature. Is there any way to limit access to only specific PC's? In other words, I don't want all PC's to have access to the folder or is there a way for different family members to have their own Webroot Anywhere folder using the same license? For example, son's PC has his own folder, daughter's PC has her own and they don't have access to each others.

Thanks!
Hello there!

I think what you want to do is quite possible.  If I understand correctly, each person does have their own PC instead of sharing the same PC.  If that is the case, the files are quite separate and no access allowed.

Have each user on their own user profile within the Account Console, and give each permissions for Backup&Sync.  That is it.

As a test, you should have at least two different Backup&Sync user profiles, each with their own login and password.  On the separate PC's, have each user log into Backup&Sync creating the Anywhere folder, and put a sample text file or two in each.

Log into the Console as any user....  go to Backup&Sync.  You will find that you cannot access the files of the other user: they are stored in the Cloud separatly and you cannot access the others.

You can probably ALSO make this work on a shared PC, however you will need to have separate WIndows login profiles for each person.  The user profiles should NOT be admin profiles, and you need to set a Windows admin password.  Do not allow the other users of the shared PC access to the Admin password or Admin rights.

Each users Anywhere folder is stored within their own user folder in Windows... and Backup&Sync also works per Windows login.  You can have each user have their own Windows profile, and login to Backup&Sync and the folders will NOT be the same and they will not be able to access each others files... as long as they do NOT have access to Windows Admin password or rights.

Each WIndows user folder is protected :)

I hope this helps, but I admit I wrote it out a bit quickly. If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks, I will look into that. I appreciate the quick response.
