Hi,
My name is Joe,
After I just renewed Webroot I get the bothersome scanning by K9 and at the
end summarizing what need to be cleaned up and that I need to call their phone number and pay?
Anybody had that or recommend what to do?

Hello longshot12,
Welcome to the Community Forum,
From my research this K9 is for a Web Protection and for Parental Control and for numerous other protections. I've never heard of this protection before.
This has nothing to do with Webroot. If you have renewed then you are set to go.
IF you cannot remove this Program from the Control Panel/Programs/Unintsall. And this K9 keeps popping up then please issue a Support Ticket and they can look into this for you.
Hope this helps and if not please get back to us.
Best Regards,

Hi longshot12
To add to what Sherry has posted...K9 used to be a reputable app many moons ago when I last used it but it was overtaken by the main secuorty app provider including parental controls in their apps.
I doubt if this is the old K9 and you should ABSOLUTELY IGNORE any company legitimate or otherwise contacts you unsolicited and then that advises you that you have (i) issues (ii) asks you to call them & (iii) expects you to pay for the privileges.
Smells like at worst a SCAM and at best very shoddy marketing.
Have nothing to do with it.
Regards, Baldrick
