Hello patmc11209 and Welcome to the Webroot Community Forums!

Can you try dragging this file in the Open Chrome Browser and let us know if it installs! Also the number of the file could be different than yours!

Did you find the Location? C:ProgramDataWRDataPKGChromeChrome1.1.0.xx.crx if you did drag the file into the Open Chrome Browser.

Thanks,

Daniel

If you can't find the Location please see here for Folder Options to show hidden files and folders: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7 and after you drag the file into Chrome and it installs make sure to hide the Files and Folders again!

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

Sound advice Daniel. It works (but I can only confirm that for Windows 8.1)

Hi jpasternak

It also works in Windows 7 64 & 32bit...for your information.  Some keep the hidden folders 'not hidden' whilst others, usually non technical users have no interest in them and do not know where the relevant setting is.  It is similar to whether or not you like or need to have fiels displayed withthe their extension or not...personally I prefer not so switch that off...again, user choice.
