Firefox 32.0.3 = no checkmarks, which resulted in no warning for a malicious site and machine froze. Received the malicious warning when I subsequently used IE. How to fix?

Hello FernBert, and Welcome to the Webroot Community.
Please check if you are seeing the Webroot extension showing in Firefox's list of add-ons installed. And have you also got the toolbar ok? If not, please download and run the toolbar fix utility http://download.webroot.com/toolbarfix.exe
Just to say also that the browser add-on only provides ratings for websites, and you can be assured that the other main shields of Webroot were there to protect you regardless.
No harm to run regular scans to make sure all is ok.
The toolbarfix hopefully, should fix that extension etc. for you, but if still not working ok, then a clean reinstall would be advisable:

- Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
- KEEP the computer online for all of the following steps
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again.
