How do you remove cookies which contain personal information from Windows 7?
Hi 2783

Welcome to the Community Forums.

WSA has limited functionality built in do deal with cookies, by way of the System Optimizer function.  If you click on the Advanced Settings link in the top right hand corner of the main panel and then select the System Optimizer tab from the lefthand side of the further panel displayed, you will be presented with the detailed configuration options for System Optimizer.  If you scroll down these you will see a number of entries relating to cookies.  If you check these then then next time System Optimizer runs or is run it will remove the cookies matching the selection criteria.

If that does not go far enough for you then you can look at (i) configuring your browser(s) to provide some 'protection' and/or (ii) download & install a separate app that you then run and will handle this for you.

In the case of the former we will need to know which browsers you use, to be able to provide more specific information, and in the case of the latter one app that does this and a lot more in terms of cleaning & removing junk is CCleaner.

Hope that helps?  If you have further questions or need more help please do post back here.

Regards, Baldrick
