I am receiving a message stating that my WebRoot subscription is expired. How is this possible if I installed it in October 2014 when I purchased it with my new pc and the subscription is supposed to be for one year? Please advise.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Where you by any chance running a trial of WSA before you purchased the subscription and if so have you entered the new keycode and made sure that it is that keycode that WSA is running under? If not then please do and post back.
To see what code is active you can click on the 'My Account' tab in the main panel, to reveal the key code. If that keycode does not match the one that you have purchased then I would try entering the new keycode again, by clicking on the coog/gear symbol to the right of 'My Account, which will reveal a new panel with a space to enter the keycode, after which one shold click on the 'Activate' button under neath.
Try all of that and see if it resolves the issue otherwise you should Open a Support Ticket to get the Support Team to take a look at the issue for you as there might be a problem in the back office systems and only they as Webroot employees,a re able to access it.
