Now is this extension malicious and should I go back to something like Ghostery or is it only being blocked because this extension actually does block all the bad advertising sites and as such is being categorized by webroot as a malware site collector?

It is a suspicious site and has had phishing/malicious activity in the past. Since this might no longer be the case, it would be best to Submit a Ticket so that our threat team can take a look.

Also, I've submitted a reevaluation to BrightCloud for the site in question to see if there has been recent malicious activity.

Thanks!
Here is my share of extensions I don't worry about chrome bloat:
AdBlock+
Ghostery
HTTPSEverywhere
HTML5ify 0.5
HTML5 video for YouTube™
Keep My Opt-Outs
Mega Button

Bitdefender TrafficLight
WOT
Disconnect
DoNotTrackMe seems to have broken once I added Disconnect.

WHAT is this error everyone is getting?  Is this extension any good or not?  Is it Malware or NOT?

Hi cicerosally

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I also use Disconnect and have had no issues with it.  As far as I can tell there is nothing suspicious about it and this is reinforced by what I ihave read on the Web about it.  To satisify youreself as to its 'goodness' why not Google "Disconnect extension reviews" and go through some of the one from the more reputable/known sites.
