Its a Crypt.Trojan i need webroot to be able to protect others from.  Someone sent me the virus directly from steam in a attempt to get me to run it.

Where can i submit the file?

Hello @

There are several ways to submit a file for analysis.

Our file submission page is here: Webroot File Submission

You can also access this by clicking the Cog icon next to Utilities, going to the Reports tab and clicking on "Submit a file."

You may also want to create a Support Ticket and copy and paste the log entry that includes that file in the ticket. The "Save scan log" button is also on the Reports tab under utilities.

Thanks,

-Dan

Hello, welcome to the Webroot Community!

You can submit a Trouble Ticket if you are infected and need Webroot Support to help remvoving it.  This is FREE with your valid license.

If you are not actually infected and just want to submit the file:
  • Open WSA
  • Click the gear tool next to Utilities
  • Click the Reports tab
  • Click Submit a File, it is on the far right.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the submission.

We now have that file classified as malicious.
