Let me check and find out.  From what I can tell poking around online the site seems legit.  Perhaps they just have a typo on the version number.
Just as a sanity check I downloaded the file and looked at the version number and it shows 8.0.4.46, so the page must just have a typo.
thanks just wanted to make sure my WSA was functioning properly (as if it didn't miss the official update)

Agreed it's the Release download link and the Beta in which some of us are using is from different download channel.

Release is still at v8.0.4.46 and the Beta is at v8.0.4.57.

Also always look here for the current releases: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Release-Notes/bd-p/ReleaseNotesWSA#.UvqyUYXDt_c

HTH MaXimus,

Daniel

That is indeed the Beta download, and possibly should be removed from here on the open Forum: as it is a Beta, it should be considered unstable and not able to be fully supported by Webroot Support.  Kind of a 'Use At Your Own Risk" situation 🙂
I just sent them a warning

Hi Nic

I can confirm that as far as I know the site is legit as I have downloaded & bought software from them and never had an issue with what I have downloaded or when browsing.  And I have even upgraded an app, that I bought through them, via the manufacturer subsequantly...with no issues.

EDIT:  And I have to say that that is one hell of a good price for WSAC 5 seats...how do they do that? (rhetorical question BTW)

Regards

Baldrick

Yeah Download Crew is well known. Just like Majorgeeks.com
Thanks for confirming - that matches what I found online when looking them up.
Just to report that I noticed earlier that Softpedia is also showing 8.0.4.57 as available, but I checked the download and it supplies build .46 so that's ok.

I'm guessing these download sites must have picked it up from apparent availabiity on Malwaretips, perhaps.

Thanks Dermot yea I wonder where there getting .57 from? How are you doing on the other side of the pond I hope you're doing well?

Cheers,

Daniel 😉
I also see Download Crew has .46 posted now instead of .57! https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/I-thought-this-version-was-BETA-v8-0-4-57/m-p/81837#M5995

Cheers,

Looks like a bunch of us reporting the page actually did something 🙂
Good!
And now 8.0.4.57 is live - I guess they were only slightly early :)

Ah, thanks TH 😃 I see now. It's a little unusual for the update to arrive in that sequence...so i was the one that got confused :D

Well I'm still on the Beta .57 so I just checked the download links and that seams to be the case.

Thanks Dermot,

Daniel 😉

Thanks Dermot,

Yeah, you're correct, and I checked the beta about 45 minutes ago and got .57 also, and no auto-update as yet. Maybe beta will update later, most probably.

Cheers buddy :D

I just sent a message to Joe to find out!

Daniel
We just released v8.0.4.61, to add to the confusion 🙂
