if I use my secure erase at a high level what kind of files is it erasing? bad files for clean ups

does this erase files that are bad only or is it erasing all my files?  I am just wanting to do the clean up type not erase everything

I am wanting to clean up my computer using secure erase but I am not wanting to erase my good files, so I don't know if it erases files I want?  please explain

Hello callclarisse, welcome to the Webroot Community!
 
The Secure Erase ONLY deletes file you have select to erase, eithter manually or via the System Optimizer.  It will not erase all files or your picture and documents.
 
Basically, think of it as a more secure Recycle Bin... except that you cannot recover files after being deleted and no one else can either.
 
For more information about the System Optimizer, please:
 
1) Read the User Guide HERE
 
2) Review the settings by
 
Open WSA
Click the Advanced Settings button at the upper right
On the left pane click System Optimizer
On the right pane review the various file types available for automatic removal
