When you run the 'Optimize" utility are also scanning the PC at the same time ? Thank You

Good question...to which the answer is 'NO'...the Optimize function does not also scan for malware...it only looks for items that are taking up space and are not really required (as selected either by default or by you if you have changed the default settings). Please take a look at this KB Article that should provide you with the information you need.
