Hi
I have noted twice that the padlock on the Webroot icon in the system tray didn't appear when I'm on Internet !
This occurs only on my office PC but not at home.

Good morning Asklepios!
The padlock icon only appears when the browser is on an https page to protect your identity. Here is a KB article as well as a Forum Reply with a bit more information on the Padlock.
The User Guide also has some information, This Page in particular.
If it appears that the icon SHOULD be visible and isn't you can also submit a Trouble Ticket.

I would like to add that there has been a change since then now Both HTTP & HTTPS are protected by default but I suggest that you go Here and adjust your settings for HTTP for maximum protection just click of the HTTP line. Also if you happen to click off screen like the taskbar you will lose focus and the padlock will disappear but when you click back on the opened browser window the padlock will reappear and bring back the focus to the open browser window.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks and also thanks to David;)
I had already seen the little padlock appear for all sites. And also disappears for both sites http and https !
I'm using default settings.
Is it necessary to adjust the maximum protection for http ?, because the default settings are the following:
And in another topic (http://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Default-set-and-forget/td-p/39548/page/2) you said that default settings are enough for anoptimal protection ???
Thanks for the update! Also thank you for having posted it to begin with... I had a little learning to do about it 🙂

Well that's up to you as there are many Shields to protect when surfing online such as Identity Shield & Web Threat Shield but I do have it set to Max but default for HTTP is fine!
