I have read several posts about the "Personalized Security Report". I agree with all the opinions expressed so far about how annoying and intrusive this pop-up is. I do not want to be reminded about my "personalized security report". I don't even want the silly report. The only time I want to hear from my AV software is when there is a problem that needs my attention.
This notification continually appearing at start up is preventing me from troubleshooting another issue that requires me to boot into the Start Menu and not into the desktop. So currently, Webroot is *causing* me problems, and that is unacceptable.
The balloon notification about the security report is borderline spam. If I choose to view the report, I get taken to a web page that is more advertising than report. That is offensive when I've already paid for a 10-seat license. How much more money do you think I should spend to avoid being exposed to marketing nonsense like this? The point of the report is obvious -- you want me to keep renewing my subscription and to convince me to do that you show me statistics designed to make me feel all warm and fuzzy about Webroot's effectiveness. Please stop doing that. Further, the statistics aren't all that impressive -- they are nothing more than what anyone should expect from an effective AV suite.
I originally purchased Webroot several years ago because the product was light, fast, unobtrusive and effective. With this report fiasco, Webroot is starting down the path that has made so many other AV products so distasteful.
Please fix this ASAP.
Thanks,
Jeff
