Hi,
I noticed that the 'Secure Lock' doesn't show up on the little Webroot icon thingy in the 'Task Bar' when you open Microsoft Edge. Does it suppose to, did it with Exp 11. Just noticed this....

A late morning ? blame Microsoft on that. Edge's not accepting plugins yet so WR can't support Edge yet... It's been said here before & much better by others but thats what it boils down to.. Be patient . It'll come . When maybe one of the developpers here can hint
? Make sure that Edge is protected in the Application Protection tab under Identity Protection. It sounds as though it is not being added automatically by Webroot so all you need to do is click on the Add Application button in the bottom right hand corner and search for Edge's exe file in program files.
You should then find that the lock is in place when you are using Edge. You can add other sensitive programs the same way. I have KeePass protected that way for example.

If I may just inteject here, Nemo, but unfortunately the Edge components do not reside in Program Files but rather along this path:
C:WindowsSystemAppsMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe
and to TWO components required to be register under Application Protection are:
'MicrosoftEdge' AND 'MicrosoftEdgeCP'
The method to use is as per any other file or app for which this is required.
Finally, I do not think that Edge is yet cast as a 'supported' browser...but I could be wrong on that point.
Hope that helps?

Thanks Baldrick, not being a Win 10 user, I just assumed Edge would be where the other browsers are located. If they are not exe files, then it looks as though it will not be possible to get the lock to show.
No worries, Nemo...Teamwork...thats the ticket. ;)
And both components are indeed applications/.exes (it is just that I have my system set to not show common extensions, etc.) and so will register under Application Protection...:D

Looks like we finally got an answer! 😃
