Hello lustmerchant, welcome ot the Webroot Community!

Good question!

Chances are that you did not.. remember that the box graphics have to through design, and print, far before release in the stores.  PC Mag has issued awards at least once recently, so the box will be wrong either way.  You MIGHT have purchased a box from the fall of 2014 launch, but that will not matter anyway.

As long as the box says SecureAnywhere, of any version, it really does not matter: Webroot updates ALL users INSTANTLY as updates are available.  I can use an old installer I downloaded 2 years ago and still it will automatically instantly update to the current version.

You will have the most up to date software available.  If you want to verify this, just do the following:

Open WSA

Click the Gear Tool next to My Account

Click the About SecureAnywhere tab

The current version number is 8.0.4.131  (The Best Buy version IS the same version  number as the standard release, though once in a while it may be updated just a few days after to avoid server bog-downs)

Normally Best Buy stores are SUPPOSED to remove old box design stock from the shelves entirely as soon as the new box design is released, but just like any other store, some individual stores or stockers sometimes miss things.  It will not hurt or affect your software.  Removing the old stock when it comes to Webroot, and all Best Buy Subscription Software, is just to keep a uniform look.
