I just purached the Webroot Complete suite and am very happy.  I am trying to clean up my old phone for my son, and while it's been identifed as "infected", the SmsReg app/file cannot be removed.  I've tried uninstalling it from both the Webroot app as well as the app setting on the phone.  Any guidance would be much appreciated, as the phone functions as if there is a virus or malware on it.
Hi ashlove32

A Yuletide Welcome to the Community Forums.

Care needs to be exercised when it comes to SMsReg app/file.  Whilst it can be a sign of malware it can also be a useful and requiiste system files installed by the phone's manufacturer.

I do not know all the ins and outs of this but you may want to review the contents of this prior thread which deals with the topic.

And then post back if that has not provide you with a solution.
