In the latest release 8.0.10.18 the webfilter extension is not installed on latest OSX-version 10.11. I did a fresh install of both OSX and WSA (several times) but this issue remains. By the way the other extension, password manager is installed, normally..

 

A fix would be most welcome. Is there a possibility to manual install this extension in Safari?

 I am running the Mac Beta WSAC..same version as you. I do not have the Webfilter either. I believe that ? has told me that they are working on this. So I do have Password Manager as well. EDIT: FF and Chrome have the Webfilter.

I've always done a clean reinstall to get the Webfilter but now with Beta we don't have it yet.

I know that we were working on this fix, not sure if it has been pushed yet.  I dont think we have a way to force the filtering extension, however Ill talk to the head developer today to see if there is a work around that I can walk you guys through untill we get the fix pushed live.
So after talking to my Dev team, we have tested a way to force the installation.  If you go the folder /Library/Application Support/Webroot  there is a dmg called wfmacosx3.dmg  Mount that dmg and double click on the webfilter.safariextz file  this will prompt an install.  Click trust and it will install.

With this workaround from Wanderingbug the web filter extension can be installed.



Using this web filter in Safari is not optimal though. It keeps searching whether a website is safe or not...



Unfortunately no green or red marks..... let's hope this is a temporary server-problem...

I think that is a temporary issue.  I am a Windows user, and I had that happen last night as well.  Try to refresh the page and see if that helps.  Just having the spinners shows the extension is installed and active.

 

If you continue to get the spinners, please submit a Trouble Ticket for Webroot Support to take a look at the issue.
After a reinstall of OSX all is fine now. Thanks all for your help!
