Hi,
Since Monday, everytime I have turned on my laptop, the Webroot SecureAnywhere has been popping up every thirty seconds, no joke. It has become extremely annoying and I have no been able to complete any summer course work because of it. I have tried to find ways to uninstall it but, no luck. There is no big green W as some suggested to click on and I have no clue as to what to do. As I am writing this is has popped up 15 times. When I click the X it will just reappear. At this point, I just want to completely uninstall the whole thing. The only place I see a webroot icon is in my dropbox at the bottom right and when I click on it to do anything, nothing pulls up and there is a big red checkmark on it. The only solution I have found to be able to do anything is to split screen the webroot popup and what I am working on at the time. It is annoying. When I click on the continue button it asks for me to repurchase Webroot SecurAnywhere Internet Security Plusand I do not want to do that. Now, I am not good with technology at all, so if you use certain computer terms I will probably not know what they are. Can anyone help?

Hi jeguinn
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Sorry to hear about your issues.
It could happen that uninstallation options for SecureAnywhere could be missing from the Control Panel or Start menu. If you want to uninstall SecureAnywhere and are unable to do so because of the options are missing, here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.
As and when you do manage to uninstall WSA I would recommend that you reboot and try an brand new install to see if what you have been experiencing is due to a fault installation...which can sometimes happen. If you need help with the reinstall then please let us know and we can provide guidance on that too.

Thank you for replying so quickly! I will try what you suggested and hopefully it works! Thanks again.
Hi jeuinn
No worries...glad to assist where I can.
One small thing I should have mentioned is that if you do have to use this in the Command line or Run Dialog: "C:Program FilesWebrootWRSA.exe" –uninstall make sure that you run it from an elevated Command Prompt/Run as Administrator.
To do that (in caase you do not know how) all you need to do is to type the following into the Start Search bar:
'Cmd' (do not include the quote marks)
and then right click on the 'Cmd' option that will be presented in the search results area. From the context menu displayed by righ clicking select 'Run as adminstrator' and that should open a command prompt under adminstrator privileges which yo can then enter the command line into.
Any issues do come back and we will try to assist further.
