Why cannot I go onto a site I know is OK after the Weboot program blocks it?  It does not allow ne to view Events which show events in my area.  When I click on the button to let me continue the screen goes blank and I cannot go back to the site.  I have tried it a couple of times and it keeps kecking me off.  It also seems to do it anytimne I go onto a Conservative web site.  This is getting very fustrating that it is telling me what I can or cannot view.  How do I get this to stop?  Nora
Hi noraurany

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Try clicking on the 'Unblock and proceed' button instead.  If you are sure that the site is safe then that is a safe option to use and this will also whitelist the site locally so that the next time you go to it the Web Threat Shield will let you access it without hinderance.

Doing this will also notify the Webroot Threat Researchers to the fact that an override has been lodged and should prompt them to review the reputation of the site.

I should also mentioned that if you have a website that you feel is incorrectly identified as safe or unsafe, follow the steps below to submit a change request.

  1. First, click here to open Webroot's URL Reputation Change Request page.
  2. Enter the web address of the page you are submitting in the URL field.

  • If you believe the site should not be blocked, select the radio button next to “81-100”. This will give the URL the highest possible rating.
  • If you believe the site should be blocked, select the radio button next to “1-20”. This will give the URL the lowest possible rating.

  1. After rating the URL, please enter your email address and product type (e.g. Webroot SecureAnywhere for PC). To receive notifications when your website change request is processed, check the box to receive notifications.
4. Click "Submit" to send your request.
