Hello!

I have a physical Windows 10 64-bit machine, that have Webroot SecureAnywhere already installed and running.

Some days ago I installed Oracle VM VirtualBox, and installed Windows XP in it, so I can have some older applications running inside the virtual machine on Windows XP operating system.

My question is: Do I have to install Webroot SecureAnywhere inside Windows XP in the virtual machine to have it protected from viruses?

Thank you,

The  physical machine is protected from viruses and if one tries to escape the virtual machine webroot will catch it. But the virtual machine may get infected (cant get to the physical machine) if you run a lot of unknown apps and you dont have an av in it.

If you want your virtual machine safe you should install an av in it (With or without av in the VM it cant escape and get to the host (Physical machine)
