I have used ytd free for years, but today Webroot has blocked the YTD site as having malicious code?
It also blocked a site purpoting to offer YTD removal toiols.
Has something chnaged with YTD or have I been duped all these years.

Hi newby
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If I may add to what Sherry has posted? We have seen a lot of this in the past, for a number of reason.
Key thing to remember is that if the site that you are having an issue with is the very same site that you have accessed previously and with which you have had no apparent issue then it may just be a False Postive (FP)...they do some times occur in a dynamic environment. If however this is a new site then you need to treat the warning with care/heed it.
If you believe that it is an FP then you can either just click on the 'Proceed' button (botttom lefthand corner of the blocking page, which will whitelist the site locally on your system and which should mean that you are able to access it in the future without hinderance (this will also alert the Webroot Threat Researchers to the override as to the fact that they may wish to investigate the reason for overrides,
OR if you would like to get the classification changed there is now a "Change Classification" button on the URL block pages. Clicking this button will direct you to BrightCloud (part of Webroot that looks after this part of the WSA protective umbrella, i.e., repuations, etc.) to submit a change request directly from the block page.
We have been advised by the Support Team that this is the preferred alternative to submitting, either a Support Ticket or manually going to the BrightCloud Change Request URL, when the Web Filtering Shield blocks what you believe to be a legitimate URLs.
If however the BrightCloud lookup shows a URL as clean but you are still seeing a block then, especially if this is a new site, you should Open a Support Ticket so that this can be checked out by the Support Team.
Hope that the above is of assistance?
Regards, Baldrick
