Hi, Webroot works fine except freezes Win 10 computer for about 2 minutes, and then allows me to log on.  Happens after start up screen, waits 2 minutes and then opens signon screen. After that works normally. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you please do a uninstall/reinstall of Webroot?

Follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

I have a win10 32 bit and reinstall doesn't help.  My problem is on reboot.  It locks up and it may come up after a complete shutdown or in safe mode.  I have sent log files and talked to support to no avail.  I was supposed to have this escelated but no one responds.  I may have to ditch webroot.  Any help would be good.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Just wondering what makes you think it's WSA? Have you tried without having WSA installed? I have WSA on a dozen Win 10 systems and I see no issues both 32 and 64bit.

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

This is a fresh install of win10. It has no issues with any other av or no av. As soon as I put Wsa on it freezes on start. I also have Wsa in 6 other computer of various configurations with no issues. 30 years of PC and IT tell me Wsa is the issue. I can't figure out the conflict. I would like to switch my hospital network to Wsa at some point.

Okay can you Please Submit a Support Ticket so they can look at your system to see what could be the issue? We can only do so much on the Community.

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

I have many times sent a support. I'm not impressed. I was told yep you have a conflict but never told ne how to resolve. So I thought maybe someone else had an idea. I have updated the drivers and such. I did a fresh install of win10.
