It's a safe and well known platform for people to do routine tasks and get paid for them. You don't have to worry about it!

Amazon Mechanical Turk looks to be a safe website. I never used it so I cannot comment if it is safe to use.
As far as only using Webroot, my experience with my entire family, that is the only Security Software we use. It has kept us safe since the launching of WSA many years ago.
