My computer came with McAfee already installed and I have installed Webroot.  Should I uninstall McAfee or leave it alone?

Hello there, welcome to the Community!

Removing or keeping McAfee is a matter of choice/preferance.  WSA is designed to run just fine even with other AV solutions install.. it is unique that way.

That being said, I will go into my own opinion.  Remove the McAfee.  McAfee is not as well rated, tends to miss more threats, and it is a huge resource hog on the computer.. it can slow you down.

If you DO decide to remove McAfee, please make sure you use the McAfee removal tool instead of the 'uninstaller' that might be found on your computer or in the Control Panel.  McAfee is known to leave remnants, and the uninstaller does not always remove things correctly.  If you need a link to the McAfee removal utility, just let us know!

I agree entirely with the above advice and would just add that McAfee is likely only installed with a 30 day free trial period. Then you would have to pay for it.
