Any suggestions on a VPN provider you may have?  And is it as secure (private), as advertised?  Thanks..

Hello Stau5144,

Welcome to the Community Forum

Please have a look at this post from TripleHelix HERE

Hope I was able to help somewhat for I don't use VPN services.

Maybe someone here on the forum can add to this...

Best Regards,

Hello! In my opinion, one of the better VPN services is HERE. Very secure and fast connection.

Hope this helps.

Wasn't there something in the tech news recently about them i.e not in a good way? Or am I getting them mixed up?

You mean VPN in general? I think there were some that being forced to track users activity. I do not know the extent of it or whic companies were involved. My understanding was that Hide My Ass VPN service was very secure still.

I think they were talking about free proxies:

Still, if you're not paying for the service, then they have to be making money off data mining or some other more nefarious way of benefitting from your traffic.  If you aren't paying for the VPN then I'd be wary.

I tried many free services but I failed to be secured, Here I found a reliable VPN service https://www.vpnanswers.com/f-secure-freedome-vpn-review-2017/ it provided me with high encrypted connection and secured all my transmitted data. You can find USA, UK, France and many other servers.
