Applications Disappear from Identity Protection

Insult, then injury by Webroot's amateur antivirus

After hours of wasted time and frustration that Webroot does virtually nothing to mitigate for new users, I discovered through sheer luck that Secure Anywhere Antivirus was the villain that blocked cut-and-paste functions among my various programs. Problem solved? No way.

Now, a couple of months later, all of my manually-added programs in Application Protection have simply vanished. I'm faced with entering them all over again. Why?

How many more times will your amateur program that boasted in sales pitches of automatically adding my programs, and lied by claiming "everything you need to know" is included in your online guide to adding apps, do this? How and when can I stop babysitting this infintile antivirus program?

And while we're at it, Why are CTRL-C and CTRL-V functions blocked within the allegedly protected Chrome browser on my Windows 8.1 PC?

Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

I definitely understand your frustration and am very sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

The only reason why I could think of the ID Shield listed programs disappearing would be an uninstallation, or corruption on the root drive.

Given the seriousness of the issue, I would advise contacting our support team as they can gather logs, identify the root cause, and resolve this issue for you completely free of charge.

I have provide both the support number and link to create a ticket below.

I've just not had as long as 30 minutes of wait time to deal with this program flaw -- but yesterday, I discovered that Webroot SecureAnywhere had once again deleted all the applications I added to Identity Protection. No solutions exist on your interactive assistance pages. Is there no other way to solve this problem without taking a significant chunk of time from my workday? This program is reaching the point of diminishing returns.

I'm having a dsifficult time believing that, as your hold announcement claims, "...your call is very important to us."
