Been using Webroot for years. Lately when I try to install something it won't let me. Why?
In the past few months a little window will pop up randonally with a site that says it needs UPDATING. No matter who or what it is WEBROOT pops up with telling me its a THREAT, so I have to click in webroot to run the scan. Are these pop ups really a threat OR? Thanks for anyones help........................Danny :+(

If Webroot is blocking pop ups, and if you are getting a number of sites claiming that updates are needed, there is a chance that you may have an issue already, but certainly WSA is blocking those for a reason. That is a common way of trying to get somone to click and thus become infected.
It is also possible that non malware "annoyware" is on the computer. These are non malware really, things like browser toolbars, or software that just pushes targeted ads onto you annoying you. We have two names for this kind of thing. The first is junk, the second is PUA. (Potentially Unwanted Application.)
I would like to see you go ahead and follow Sherry's advice and get a Trouble Ticket in... let's make sure that your computer is clean and no malware or PUA's are currently resident.
If you would like more information about PUA's, what they are, what they do, how to avoid them, etc, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you some reading material on them 🙂
