Cannot Remove Trojan from External Drive

My advice would be to issue a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription. Let me see what I can do with my backup drive and see if I can make a backup folder on the desktop and scan the folder and then you can Format the drive and add your backup folder back to the external drive.

I'm not able to transfer Mac Backup to the Desktop. So I'm thinking that you wiil need to Format that drive and do a clean backup.
 
But please ask Support to assist in this. They should have a better idea in what you should or could do.
