    Hello swimyellowcat,
     
    Welcome to the Community Forum,
     
    Please make sure you are downloading from the Adobe Reader site here http://get.adobe.com/reader/
     
    Make sure you uncheck any add ons such as McAfee,
     
     If you have trouble installing,  right click on it and select 'Run as Administrator' which should run the installer with elevated privileges, and so avoid the message that you might be seeing.
