Heh; getting this message on one of 4 PC's.
All 4 x NIS up to date.
I had thought this was an issue well past by now.
Any one have simple solution to "reboot" that notification.
Not meaning o go bashing Symantec , but,
FWIW I am getting increasingly po'd with Symantec.
Anyone see their latest code gaffe that allowed malware in via the AV engine ?? !! Corrected now.

I have not heard of that issue with the online console befor. I have just checked mine and everything is displaying as it should be. Therefore I would suggest that you (i) clear the cache & browsing history of your browser and then try accessing the console again, & if that does not work then I wouls suggest that you do that again & reboot before trying to access the console again...I am suspecting that the izsue is related to your system rather than a general issue.
You could also try turning off the anti scripting extension just in case that is the root cause.
The 'you must install WSA' message is solely due to NIS...and to be honest is fatuous as WSA plays well with NIS (and most other mainline security apps) & if you are getting po'd with NIS then why not uninstall it on that machine and try running with just WSA...I think that you will be pleasantly surprised. :smileywink

I know it's not WSA that is the problem with NIS.
It might be nice if Webroot, as a service to users and with no loss of face or credibility, posted a sticky some where outlining this recurring nonsense with NIS and supplying a fix or options.

Glad that your console issue is sorted...sometimes it is the simplest of things.
As far as NIS is concerned the issue that you are referring to is so rare (given as I said before that WSA is designed to work with the other main security applications) that there is no point in Webroot putting out a warning...can you imagine if every software company did that for every single occurrence of incompatibility? We would be reading & checking until the cows come home.
My advice to you is to can NIS as a test and just go with WSA...as I said before I am sure that you will be surprized and impressed...I knpw I was.

Anything that shows Webroot in a better light reflects well on the operation IMHO.
For the record, Uninstalled WSA ....annoying to have to do so..... reinstalled NIS, rebooted reinstalled WSA.
The un/reinstall of WSA was is one of the better presented processes I have seen.
Have been with NIS since Peter Norton was on the box, LOL dates me !!

Still, have to be able to be agile these days.
Will be having another look at WSA Internet goodness.

In terms of the NIS-related issue I personally have only seen it once and in the scheme of things (number of users affected) the incidence is 'minor'...IMHO. But if younfeel strongly about it you should open a Feature Request to let the Development Team know your thoughts on the matter.
Hope that you do decide to go solo with WSA and ditch the 'gorilla'...;)
