does Webroot provide security for Windows 7 desktop folders?

WSA does not provide specific protection for any folders be they on the Desktop or not. WSA works at the file/app level and intercepts and blocks/cleans malicious files/apps when they activate/before they can do any harm to your system.
Exactly what sort of Desktop folder 'protection' are you looking for?
