I went to download the renewal for Secure Anywhere and the key code they have showing for the renewal is different from the keycode associated with the software already on my computer.

Shouldn't they be the same key code?

Webroot has no useful help options

 Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum,

If renewing you would not be getting a new key code: a renewal "renews" the existing key code. So did you re-purchase Webroot and if you did then you would get a new keycode. If so follow the instructions below.

Click on the Webroot Icon on your computer near the clock and open the Webroot Secure Anywhere window. On the lower right hand side look for my account and click on it and look for the activate button and click on it. There will be a space for you to paste or enter your key code you received from Webroot. Click on Activate.

And you can also do this from your online Account Console.

Log into your Account.
Once logged in, click your email address at the upper right hand corner.
Select "Manage Keycodes" from the drop down
In here you can add a Keycode.
Use the Keycode on your device to activate it on the device

Please let us know if you need more help,

Kind Regards,

Thanks but this does not answer my question.

When I click on the link in the email for -RENEWAL- it takes me to RENEWAL page where it displays a Key Code number different from the key code associated with the WEebroot software already on my computer. I have not purchassed  or upgraded anything as of yet.

I figure the key codes should be the same

I do not want to process the renewal with a different key code because I am afraid I might end up with TWO  different pieces of software and get charged twice -OR- possibly two pieces of software and neither of them works because of somw conflict

Webroot will renew you orginal keycode . That's the process for a renewal. @ sometimes people will purchase a new license if its cheaper and thus add the keycode to the console.

HI,

i quess that's why consumers purchase that renewal because it's cheaper. Doesn't make sense does it.? You can contact support here https://tel:18666124268 and see what they say.

Hi @,

Yes sorry that number i gave you is only a 9-5. So sometimes people buy webroot from other places and just add the new keycodes. Maybe our Moderators will have more advice in the morning. @ and @

It's not that late.;)

Hello @,

I was able to pull up your subscription in our system and it appears that you have changed the product type from Webroot Antivirus to Webroot Complete. This would explain the different keycodes. If this is a mistake please contact our sales team at 1-866-612-4268 or https://detail.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp and they would be happy to assist you with putting everything in order.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you require further assistance.

Best Regards,

THanks for reviewing the records.   As I recall some time last year there was some kind of "intrigue" and confusion with my renewal. I am showing my Webroot complete subscription is currently for TWO (2) years, good till Dec 2016. I will let the Antivirus expire on schedule and continue wth Complete.

Thank You
