do i need geek squad to have webroot
my laptop keeps poping up a weebroot alert thatb does not delete and keeps sending me to renew trought geeksquad

The question is from whom did you purchase your copy of WSA? If it was through Best Best/The Geek Squad then you have their version of WSA rather than Webroot's standard version and so need to address your initial query to them...you can contact them through various means listed here.
