Hi wtgrandpa

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The strict answer is 'No'...there is no need to remove Norton as it and WSA will play well together (mainly because WSA is designed to work with/complement almost all the other mainline security apps out there...and it does).

As to whether you should remove Norton...well, that is another question and in my humble opinion only you can make that choice.  Running both Norton & WSA will impact you system and whilst both will do the job well for you it is my opnion (but then again I would say so) that you only therefore need WSA.

In all fairness, Norton does cover some elements of security that WSA does not, i.e.e, anti spam, etc., but if those are not important to you then then is no need to keep Norton...as WSA will protect you very well on its own.

And just to give you some idea of what and how WSA does that...please see the diagram below:

PLease feel free to ask any further questions you might have re. this or anything else in realtion to WSA.

Regards, Baldrick
