Am new to the community and would want to know if webroot alctually does inform us of malware because I have not seen it detect one on my computer. It always give me report of no threats but then I have to take it for malware removal every so often

Are you asking how do I know if Webroot is working? Please have a look at this KB article here
Webroot will warn you of Malware.
Are you saying Webroot isn't catching the Malware? Are you saying threats aren't being removed?
Can you explain further what you are trying to tell us? Are you having to do a manual scan? Because Webroot scans automatically everyday.
