Does webroot cover viruses?

I saw were I needed a antivirus protection.  Doesn't Webroot cover that?

Yes, it does and all three versions of WSA have that basic protection.  For more information in realtion to what each version provides by way of protection and features pelase see this webpage.
 
As further information all version cover you for amongst other things:
 
  • Viruses
  • Trojans
  • Spyware
  • Phishing Attacks
and most malware in general.
 
  • Identity Theft
  • Social Network Threats
  • Unsafe Websites
as well as ransomware attacks, which are handled by some fairly unique 'journalling & rollback' features.  All of which is explained quite well in this recent PCMag Review.
